Although electronically the same as our other cameras, there are some significant improvements to this model. The most significant improvement, encompasses the lens arrangement.

The lens is recessed into the body of the camera for greater lens protection and is made of optical tempered Pyrex glass, which resists all forms of scratching, is strong enough to absorb impact loads and still withstand the deep undersea pressures.

The lens cavity is evacuated via a vacuum and filled with dry nitrogen to prevent fogging in adverse conditions. This lens arrangement allows this camera to survive extreme temperature fluctuations and can withstand direct flame contact for up to 10 minutes at a time.
